Getting older is beautiful. Sure, we spend a lot of time talking about wrinkles, gray hairs and extra, unwanted pounds, but there is so much more to aging than just physical decline. Yes, our bodies change, but so do our personalities, our minds and our souls. We morph into different versions of ourselves, and as time passes and we survive all the things that life throws at us — from financial crises to loneliness to health scares — we learn valuable lessons that make us more authentic and self-loving. When we age well, we become who we were meant to be all along. And that, my friends, is breathtaking.
But don’t take my word for it. Men of all ages notice, too. They are drawn to the confidence and wisdom of an older woman. Priyanka Chopra is 10 years older than her husband, Nick Jonas; Gabrielle Union is nine years older than her husband, Dwyane Wade; and Kris Jenner is 25 years older than her beau, Corey Gamble.
“Cougar” is the term used for a woman who dates younger men, suggesting that they are predators. However, there are many men who, rather than being preyed upon, prefer to date older women. I couldn’t help but ask them: What is it about older women that attracts you most? Here’s what they had to say:
They lead the Way
“There is something very special about the knowledge, confidence and emotional maturity that many older women possess. I am now dating a woman 10 years older than me and she enlightens me in every aspect of life. She has been a guide to me and has shown me how to get through the highs and lows of life. Collectively, these insights suggest that cougars are sought after precisely for the wonderful qualities that often accompany aging.
