When the weather is still fickle in the spring, it's the perfect time to hibernate on the couch with blankets and a TV remote. One of my favorite ways to unwind after a long day is to binge my favorite shows and get lost in the fantasy world of the streaming network.

So many great shows have been airing this year, with highly anticipated returning series and tantalizing new ones. This wide variety makes it difficult to choose which to watch first, but with the help of sites such as Rotten Tomatoes, Forbes, BuzzFeed and The Week, I've curated a list of the most popular must-see shows:

American Primeval (Netflix)

A six-part American Western set in the mid-1800s, this gripping series focuses on a mother and son escaping their dangerous past only to be thrust into the violent wars between early settlers and Indigenous tribes. In their quest for a new life, they form an unexpected bond with a runaway Indigenous girl and a grumpy frontiersman who guides them through the treacherous territory to freedom.

The White Lotus Season 3 (Max)

This Emmy-winning dramedy hit features new characters each season in new vacation locations. Like its previous seasons, The White Lotus sticks to the premise of rich tourists behaving badly and features a stellar cast playing dysfunctional vacationers, locals and hotel staff. Set amid the lush landscape of Thailand, this show is a feast for the eyes and highly entertaining.

Yellow Jackets Season 3 (Showtime)

A high school girls' soccer team survives a plane crash but is stranded for 19 months in the Canadian wilderness. The series, which has garnered critical acclaim for its intense storytelling and strong performances, depicts the impact of the women's shared trauma of survivalism (mental health, cannibalism, psychological horror) and how, 25 years later, they're still trying to put their lives back together. The new season finds the survivors being hunted once again.

The Residence (Netflix)

The Residence is another promising Shondaland mystery-drama series that revolves around the life of Cordelia Cupp, an eccentric detective hired to solve a murder scandal involving staff at the White House. This new series is based on Kate Andersen Brower's book, The Residence: Inside the Private World of the White House.

Severance Season 2 (Apple TV+)

This science fiction psychological thriller chronicles the lives of the employees working on a highly classified project at a biotech corporation. Employees undergo a surgical procedure (Severance) to separate their memories — nothing of the outside world while working inside Lumon Industries and no memories of work while living in the outside world. Season 2 delves deeper into the dual lives the quirky Lumon employees lead.

The Pitt (Max)

The Pitt is a new medical drama examining healthcare professionals' lives at a Pittsburgh hospital. The premise takes a closer look at the personal crisis and workplace politics involving the medical frontline heroes, highlighting their courage and resiliency while treating critically ill patients. Each episode covers a 15-hour shift in the emergency department at a fictional trauma center.

Paradise (Hulu)

Paradise is an American political thriller that focuses on a U.S. Secret Service agent investigating the murder of the president he was assigned to protect. But the show goes beyond the typical "whodunit" plot line. The series also takes place in a city-sized underground bunker several years after a catastrophic, extinction-level event forced survivors to live in a dystopic world beneath a mountain in Colorado. The show has enough flashbacks, drama and plot twists to keep viewers engaged throughout the eight-episode season.

1923 (Paramount+)

If you followed Taylor Sheridan's wildly popular Yellowstone series, the 1923 prequel (and sequel to the 1883 series) is a must-see. Viewers were left hanging after the first season aired in 2022 and anxiously awaited its return in February. Set in the wildlands of Montana, Elsa Dutton narrates the story of the Dutton family's struggle to keep their Yellowstone ranch amid range wars, Prohibition and the Great Depression. With a mix of high drama, stunning scenery and superb acting from Helen Mirren and Harrison Ford, this 1920s-era western is 100 percent binge-worthy.

The Handmaid's Tale Season 6 (Hulu)

In the 6th and final season of Margaret Atwood's dystopian novel adaptation of The Handmaid's Tale, June is determined to finally take down the totalitarian society of Gilead as Luke and Moira join the resistance. The final season focuses on June's courage and resilience in her quest to destroy the fundamentalist regime ruled by men who view women as property. The message of hope, determination and unity is at the forefront in the final episodes of this futuristic, dystopian series.

Deli Boys (Hulu)

This delightful American comedy features a pair of spoiled Pakistani-American brothers whose lives are turned upside down after their father, a convenience store magnate, suddenly dies. The pair soon discover that the store is just a front for their father's criminal enterprise and are forced to manage their baba's sketchy underworld business of selling drugs. The fact that the brothers are woefully unprepared for running an illegal business takes this glimpse into the dark side of convenience store life to a whole new level of hilarity.
