Get FOMO at the supermarket? Have no fear. This is why we compiled the top buys at some of the most popular spots: Trader Joe’s, Aldi and Costco. No longer will you have to worry about missing out on popular items because you had no idea they existed.

Here are your grocery list must-haves:

Most Popular Items at Aldi

Each year, Aldi releases its Fan Favorites survey, and they report back on the most popular items. Aldi’s items are limited and rotate frequently, but we’d be shocked if they removed their fan favorites from your local store. Here are 2024’s results.

Barissimo Sweet Vanilla Barista Cold Foam

This brand-new item comes in sweet vanilla or caramel macchiato barista flavors — and it’s the finishing touch for any Starbucks dupe. Add some on a regular coffee, or experiment with different flavored lattes to really bring the coffee house experience home.

Mama Cozzi’s Pizza Kitchen 16” Five Cheese Take and Bake Deli Pizza

For $5, you get a pizza to feed the entire family. The pizzas aren’t frozen; instead, they’re a fresh grab-and-go option. It’s super crispy with a generous amount of meat (you can purchase sans meat) and the perfect ratio of cheese to sauce to crust.

Specially Selected 1,000 Day Gouda Aged Cheese

It’s got a nice crunch to it when some of the pieces break off and tastes like a cross between aged cheddar and parmesan. My salivary glands go into overdrive just picturing this on buttered pasta.

Fresh Atlantic Salmon Portions

Let’s be honest here: Buying fresh fish at a discount supermarket could be a scary ask. But I’ve purchased some of the freshest salmon at Aldi and it’s delicious, inexpensive and convenient.

Most Popular Items at Trader Joe’s

Trader Joe’s, the sister supermarket to Aldi, has a very different selection. They have the totally weird but delicious items (try the lentil chips!) and more than a few crave-worthy bites (their black licorice is unbelievable). Past winners, like Mandarin Orange Chicken or the Soy Chorizo, are no longer eligible, so you won’t find them on this year’s list. Other popular items from previous years are their Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and Green Goddess Seasoning Blend. Here are the most recent Customer Choice favorites.

Spinach & Artichoke Dip

This dip, served warm, joins the dozens of other noteworthy Trader Joe’s dips. Can they go wrong in this arena? We think not.

Coconut Body Butter

It’s not in the grocery section, but Trader Joe’s is really hitting it out of the park with its new skincare and body section. This one is typically only available during the summer months.

Chips in a Pickle (dill pickle-flavored potato chips)

These new chips are made in an Irish factory using Irish-grown potatoes and Irish blue cheese. The blue cheese isn’t overwhelming, they don’t taste artificial and the crunch can be heard across the house.

Butter Chicken with Basmati Rice

An entire Indian meal for less than $10? If you made this from scratch, it probably wouldn’t taste as good — and it would definitely be more expensive. This is a win for those evenings when you want delicious food with zero effort.

Spiced Cider

Only available in the fall, the seasonal cider is off the charts. Drink it straight or add a touch of bourbon for the easiest cocktail ever. It’s not too sweet or too strong and is delicious hot or cold.

Most Popular Items at Costco

The warehouse isn’t known for sharing details of its sales, but CouponBirds.com analyzed Costco hashtags and posts on social media along with Google trends data to determine the most discussed Costco products.

Goodles Cheddy Mac White Cheddar Shells

Made without artificial flavors and colors, these are al dente, creamy and filling — and Costco sells them for less than Walmart, Target or Amazon.

Kirkland Maple Syrup

This is one of the best-tasting deals at Costco. It’s $15 for 34 ounces, which is such a steal. The syrup is 100% pure grade A from Canada, and the taste is comparable to farmer’s market fresh maple syrups.

Hot dog & soda combo

Honestly, this combination at Costco’s food court is the bribe I need for schlepping over there. For $1.50, you get a gigantic beef hot dog and a fountain soda. If you’ve found this cheaper or tastier anywhere else, I’d love to hear it.

Kirkland Prosecco

Little known fact: Costco is one of the largest alcohol retailers in the world. Their Prosecco is extra dry, fruity and slightly sweet. We’ve been known to switch the champagne pours for Kirkland’s Prosecco and no one was the wiser.

Sanders Small Batch Wonders Sea Salt Caramel

I try not to purchase this, knowing that if I do, I won’t be able to stop eating these fresh, soft caramels until the container is empty. The caramel tastes uber fresh, and when it’s topped with dark chocolate, I don’t think any dessert could beat it.
