Joy Frank-Collins started her writing career as a general assignment reporter for a small, but busy, daily newspaper in southeastern Ohio. Like many journalists, her career path meandered into Public Relations and Corporate Communications where she served as PR Manager for a national home and hardware company before starting her own boutique PR/MarCom firm, which she operated for nearly 15 years. Always a writer at heart, Joy shifted her focus to freelance writing full time and has had work featured in many national, regional and local online and in-print publications, most recently including Pittsburgh Magazine, Columbus Monthly, The Girlfriend by AARP and Wow (Airlines) Magazine. She’s currently finishing a novel and working on a collection of essays tentatively titled Finding Joy: A Memoir of the Mind-Blowing and Mundane Moments of Modern Middle Age.
She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her husband and two teenage sons. When she’s not writing, Joy enjoys baseball, travel and wine (although she REALLY enjoys writing about baseball, travel and wine!). She chronicles her exploits on Twitter and Instagram @JoyFC and can be reached online at joyfrankcollins.com.
