Jennifer A. Nielsen writes middle-grade and YA fantasy and historical fiction, including The False Prince, A Night Divided, Iceberg, and Words on Fire. She grew up in northern Utah, where she still lives with her family. A lifelong storyteller, Jennifer started writing in grade school and never stopped—despite a few terrible early drafts. She’s received numerous awards for her work and once won a garden rototiller, though she admits that has nothing to do with writing.
